Paul has been looking after me for as long as I can remember. We go back over 30 years so it must be quite a while now!

He also looks after a few of my friends. He is never flashy or over exuberant with his advice. If I had to say what were his three main strengths it would simply be:

He actually does listen to peoples concerns and addresses them in a way that does not make you feel inadequate.
He is tenaciously thorough.
Paul invariably takes all matters into consideration and always looks at your big picture rather than focusing on any personal short term gain.
Yes, I would have no hesitation in recommending his services for either insuring against income loss or managing the investments of your entire estate.

Paul Meleng is somewhat of a paradox – a man who demonstrably thinks well ahead of the times, but who also retains many of the values of days gone by. Paul was my guiding light when I first sought out ethical investment opportunities during the nineties, and since has been an invaluable sounding board as our family and business circumstances have evolved and become more complex.

Some of Paul’s best attributes include his openness, humility, humour and integrity.

I have, and will continue to, recommend Paul to my like-minded friends and colleagues.

It has been fun: reflecting on working and being friends with someone for twenty years!

Paul is a thinking man. Not only does he think about what you are talking with him about, it is obvious that he has thought about the subject deeply before, and has reached some valuable insights. On occasions, it might be a new subject, in which case he will go away and think about it, and then come back with deep comments and valuable extensions of the discussion. This doesn’t happen too often – he has accumulated a huge range of experience over the years, and has reflected deeply on the situations he has found himself in. This makes him a wise counsellor.

For many, he is a hidden treasure.

Myself and my wife Judy first met Paul in 1999. His wife Karen was heavily involved with the Nursing Mothers Association and we met at one of their functions. Outside of financial matters our paths have often crossed and I have always found Paul to be extremely practical and forthright. He could best be summed up as straight forward with no hype. After reading his book I have had no problem in grasping his philosophies and have recommend the book to my friends.

The advice he gives is often for the good of the individual and not necessarily for the good of the salesman or adviser. That is to say it is often unbiased advice taking into account the bigger picture.

Paul grew up in the WA Goldfields where his Mum and Dad ran a customer service based small business. He has been involved in business one way or another just about all his working life including owning a land surveying practice which was sold almost 30 years ago, this gives him a great knowledge of some of the more important aspects of life. What more could I say? Paul is a very ethical financial planner, with many, many years of practical experience. On top of this, his vast and varied life experiences puts him well in front when it comes to giving personal and financial advice.

I have been dealing with Paul since 1994. He showed me how to look at investments differently. Being a senior public servant I had little experience in the world of wealth creation.
When I retired in 1998 he rolled my super into a very secure fund where I had multiple choices as well as day to day control myself. Because of this, and unlike a lot of my friends, my wife and I have been largely insulated from the worst of the recent financial down turn.

Paul has always been really accessible. We probably talk five or six times a year, but more often when we need to. Aside from this I like the way he keeps very much up to date with all the latest financial affairs. And I have really appreciated his total honesty.

When you see what has happened to some people out there, investment can be pretty scary.

I have been doing business with Paul for over 25 years. The words that first come to mind when asked to describe him are genuine and honest with a great deal of integrity. Yes I would thoroughly recommend his services.

I do my own successful investing, but I always check the main strategy and the rules with Paul. It is good insurance against ever financially “shooting myself in the foot” and I enjoy the intelligence and respect.

Twenty-five years ago my accounting practise was preparing the tax returns for 1,000 individuals and small businesses. Paul Meleng showed me the surprising truth about what was really happening to people’s money in super and insurance policies.
From that time, I have been a “wealth coach” as well as a tax adviser and have been passionate about helping my clients understand and have a degree of control over, the financial and business arrangements they enter into.

Paul and I wrote “Winning The New Financial Game” which has sold around 40,000 copies over 5 editions and still forms the basis of my clients’ financial education. Paul and I maintain a close relationship and confidently refer our clients to each other.
